Apple – 50 years of innovation and magic
On Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., the PEEK&POKE Computer Museum will celebrate the first 50 years of Apple, a company whose innovations have changed the way we live and work.
Apple was founded on April 1, 1976, by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and a little-known third co-founder – Ronald Wayne. Today, Apple is one of the largest and most influential technology corporations that sets trends and often leads innovation. The PEEK&POKE Computer Museum has an impressive collection of Apple computers, devices, and software, most of which will be on display with a few surprises from the archives. Part of the tour will be led by museum staff.
To mark 50 years of products with the apple symbol, the PEEK&POKE museum will treat visitors to apples, apple strudel and cider, and our curator Davor Pasarić, who has been an Apple user since the early days, will demonstrate how to use historic Apple computers from all eras. This will be followed by occasional stories and anecdotes from Apple’s history.
Admission is free, and visitors are invited to support the museum’s work by purchasing souvenirs.
